The 44th Ellerslie Intermarque Concours & Classic Car Show was held this weekend just gone (12 February 2017) and the hard work of organisers, sponsors, exhibitors and participating car clubs has again paid off. Despite the overcast weather and threat of rain the day turned out well and the event was enjoyed by many. Aston Martin, Jaguar, Capri, Daimler, Model A and of course Mustang ... these are just a few of the amazing vehicles that were on display. If you were thinking of giving into that desire to own one of these beautiful cars, this show gave you plenty to look at and choose from. Our own Eugene & Tracey McWatt had success taking out third place with their 2005 Mustang. Congratulations. Charles and Heather Quintal very kindly displayed their 1967 Notchback for C.A.R.S at this show and received numerous compliments, not least of all being "what is that amazing paint colour". Participating in these shows takes up a lot of your free time so the commitment by our clients to simply display for our benefit is huge and we really appreciate it so, again, thank you to both the Quintal and McWatt families for their continued support and efforts. See photo below of C.A.R.S display:

Labour weekend saw the AMOC host the 2016 convention at Auckland's waterfront and the walk-in crowds were impressed with the awesome display of Mustangs on show. Congrats to the owners from both the Waikato and Auckland clubs for their winning cars. The effort put into displaying is huge and its nice to see the car owners hard work rewarded. Below is the 69 Boss we displayed as a working project. Many were interested to see a car at this open stage. Check out the Auckland Mustang Owners Club website for more pictures of the cars and information of the event.
The 1972 Plymouth Roadrunner is just having its final touches applied in readiness for its big reveal. It will be on display at Big Boys Toys in Auckland the last weekend of October and also in Palmerston North mid November. A beautiful car, its customisation and speciality artwork (look under the bonnet) really catch the eye combined with its unique colour this classic car is a fine example of the combined efforts of the team at C.A.R.S, Painter Jason Edmond of Universal Custom and Carl Jensen at C&M Performance in East Tamaki. The patience and vision of this Roadrunners owner/driver has paid off. Be sure to get a good look at this car when you attend Big Boys Toys this year.
Firstly, Eugene & Tracey McWatt have polished off their writing skills and written a fun and interesting article for the latest Auckland Mustang Owners Club magazine. Great work guys. Good to see Nathaniel getting ready for his racecar driving career and judging by the grin on Eugene's face he was over the moon to meet Dougie from The Hot Rod Show and Earl from Popeye Pics. It was a good day out, enjoyed by all. Now, secondly, AWESOME news ... Eugene and Tracey have been asked to display their car at the BIG BOYS TOYS show in both Auckland (October) AND Palmerston North (November) this year. A tribute not only to Eugene and Steves hardword but to Eugene's vision for the presentation of this car and Tracey's amazing dedication (and patience!).
Steve and the team at CARS really appreciate the kind words repeatedly put out there by our clients, to name a few Eugene, Tracey, Charles, Heather. You know who you are and your praise and continued support is truly appreciated. Thank you.
