Another great win for the team at C.A.R.S. at this years concours de elegance teams event.  This years proud winner is Ian Draper with his restored 1964 1/2 D-code convertable.  Featured in New Zealand Classic Car magazine, this car is immaculate inside and out.  The vehicle was imported from Australia and had already been converted from left to a right hand drive.  As such, Ian decided to go ahead and retain that feature of the car.  The team at C.A.R.S. removed all the hardware during the rebuild, and the entire firewall was heavily detailed and tidied.  This absolute attention to detail as well as ensuring a factory looking finish ment that the car won its awards in part because some people couldn't even tell it was not factory.  Needless to say, this has generated a lot of interest with clientele.  The car boasts a new interior and a pearl handled steering wheel.  The engine bay and engine were polished and cleaned so much you could eat your dinner of it!  The white interior is a really nice contrast against the jet black coat of paint and highly polished tripple plated chrome work.  It has been a joy to work on, and even better to see the reward's in the trophy room.  There is another car of Ian's that is currently being built in house, a 1965 Fast back.  Again, this car is being built to concours standard, and attention to detail is a must.
